Soap & Glory Bright + Beautiful Party Recovery Radiance Boosting Mask Review

Soap & Glory Bright + Beautiful Party Recovery Radiance Boosting Mask Review

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Even though I have not been feeling my best lately, I thought it was time to write a little review about a sheet mask that  I have tried out. As nothing can feel as relaxing  as a sheet mask when you are not feeling or looking your best.

I found this mask when I was over in England in Boots in October. When I found this one I could not resist buying this. Unfortunately I cannot remember how much the price was, but I believe there was a discount on it. All though I must say I would have bought this one without the discount, as my love for Soap and Glory goes far and beyond.  Their marketing is always on point!

If at that time I would have brought a bigger suitcase, I would have come back with a lot more goodies but that is another story. Curious about my thoughts and opinions, continue reading!

Thumbs up for

Moisturizing feeling, a lot of liquid was in the mask ( And there was still liquid in the packaging when taking out the mask)

Face felt refreshed and indeed more radiant after use. Maybe that is why it would be suited after a night out in town!

Smell  I cannot recollect how it smelled. But it smelled good. Very fresh yet sort floral.

Packaging as always, unique and with a retro feel.

Thumbs down for

Sticky feeling after applications.

Flimsy mask, it felt very breakable when applying therefor making application hard.

Overall thoughts and opinions

I really liked this mask. And to be honest, I cannot remember a mask I have not really liked except for the Dr Hoogebrand one.  This mask was very enjoyable to wear on  the face only I would say the application was a bit of a pain. I do believe this has been the most expensive mask in the drugstore category that I have tried  to use.  So maybe in that area it might not be everyone’s cup off tea. But I would say that a Soap and Glory fan will try this and I would say it is a worth a shot.

Until next post friends!

Thumbs Review: Karados Aloe Vera Mask Pack

Thumbs Review: Karados Aloe Vera Mask Pack

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Today it is time for another review,  and yep it is another sheet mask try out. Leave a comment if you like sheet masks!

I bought this Korean sheet mask in a drugstore in Bali,  and did not have the opportunity to test out this mask.  What did I think of this mask?

Thumbs up for

Price ( cannot remember the price but it was dirt cheap)

Smell ( Clean, Fresh Smell)

Refreshing cool feeling

Softness of skin after use

Thumbs down for

Slight sticky feeling when soaking in skin

Mask did not fit fully my face

Overall thoughts after use

This is such a great little mask for the price. I cannot remember the exact amount I paid but it was dirt cheap compared to some of my favorite sheet masks. Also the mask felt really cooling after application. So this would really be great when you are abroad in a warm country .  Very important to me is that my skin felt very soft once mask removed. I am definitely picking up this mask from the drugstore when I am back in Bali.  So yeah this mask I would def recommend!

I hope you all enjoyed this review. Please let me know what other brands of sheet masks are good. Curious about other mask try outs click here.

Until next post friends.

Urban Decay Heat Palette

Urban Decay Heat Palette

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Yaah The Heat Palette from Urban Decay has finally been released in the Netherlands and it was so worth the wait! Ofcourse we have been dragging after the rest of the world, but ok I suppose we will live.

Back to the palette. Can I just say I love this palette! The shades are so pigmented ( especially the shimmery shades) , and they blend so easily. The colors are really beautiful, earthy yet firey and I can definitely get why they called this the heat pallete .  I must say my fave colors would be the shimmers but the mattes are also amazing.

Applying the shades on top of a primer will really make the shadows pop. And even if you forgot to apply a primer the shadows have a reasonable lasting power.  This pallette would be appropriate to wear during the summer and autumn months because of the shade range and tones.

If you are in the market for a new shadow pallete I would definitely recommend this pallete.

Bye Bye Bali Day 12, 13 and 14

Bye Bye Bali Day 12, 13 and 14

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Be prepared for a longer post than usual, but hopefully worth it!  Hopefully you will  all enjoy some of the photography shown in this post. So lets go through the last day from my holidays.

Day 12

Another lazy bum day. I know, I know should be active but letting the good times role and enjoying the weather the food and the overall relaxing.

Day 13 North Bali

This was the longest yet one of the most beautiful trips I made. We got picked up from our hotel at 8.00 hrs and we returned to our hotel at 19.00  We visited so many things! Such as a local food market, another coffee farm, the twin lakes , more monkeys and the most serene place I ever visited the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple.  The temple was in the water and the flowers, the lake and overall nature was beautiful.

I  highly, highly recommend doing a North Bali Trip if you are in Bali. Either doing it by yourself or booking via an agency.

DAY 14

The last day of my stay in Bali. I extended the stay at the hotel so I could still have a shower at 16.00 hrs as my pick up was at 17.25 hrs.

I really tried to make the best day possible out of my last day. This meant I Woke up early and had my breakfast early. Afterwards I headed to the swimming pool where I remained the most of the day.  I really loved the relaxing at the swimming pool and having a great view  over Sanur from the Infinity pool. You could really see the kites that were being flown from the beach.

I had lunch at approx one and enjoyed my last batch of tasty food. Soon I would be doomed by the horror that is/ was airplane food. And trust me the food on the plane going back was not that good. The I was so very sad to leave the hotel and the beautiful island that is Bali. During my (minmal travels) I met really nice people and it made me a better / stronger person to make this decision to go by myself to Bali.

But guess what ,I will be returning to Bali in 4 months time. I might have become slightly obsessed , I know :p. But there are still a lot of things I want to do. Also I want to experience as little wintry weather as possible.

Thus for now the tales of Bali are over but I am sure there are more adventures to come. if you liked this post please like and subscribe and hope to see you back soon to Thumbelinaslifestyle.com.

Until next post friends!

Thumbs Review:Garnier Skin Active Hydra Bomb Masque

Thumbs Review:Garnier Skin Active Hydra Bomb Masque

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

As you know I love me a Face mask and I am also a big fan of Garnier.  Therefor fate and my purse decided to get the Garnier Skin Active Hydra Bomb Masque.

The Mask claims to hydrate, reduce wrinkles and make your face look brighter and that in only 15 minutes!  Hydration and reducing wrinkles are very important to me, so if this works great!

20170807_215133

The steps are simple, apply the mask to a clean face, afterwards remove the blue film. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and massage the residue of the serum in your face. You can also remove the excess serum of with a cotton bud. But hey I like to use each mililiter of the serum.

Thumbs up for

Great Smell! Fresh and Fruity

Price +-   € 3,00  A great price I would say

Skin feels hydrated after use

Thumbs down for

Does not fit the head very well

Slight burning sensation when wearing mask.

Feels slightly tacky after use

Do not notice reduce in wrinkles after immediate use

Overall thoughts

First thing I notice when I apply the mask is that I get hit with this really great smell . Really fresh maybe even a bit fruity.  But then problem one arises! Either I have a really big head or this mask is real tiny. It does not frame the face wvery well. Also I must say I feel a bit claustrophobic in this mask. Secondly this mask should be suitable for sensitive skin however in the beginning I notice a slight burn. Not massive but still there.

Eventhough there are some minuses to this mask, I would not fully mock it. The mask hydrates and the price is affordable compared to some other masks I tried in the past. Also it might be that the ingredients in this mask need some time to work. Maybe I will the notice the result next day. I would use it again.

To the sheet mask lovers out there! Have you tried this mask? What were your thoughts on it? If you want, please feel free to leave a comment.! If you like posts like these please feel free to roam through my little space on the internet and like and subscribe as you wish.

Until next post friends.

I finally caved and bought the Naked Palette and All Nighter Setting Spray

I finally caved and bought the Naked Palette and All Nighter Setting Spray

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Yep it is official,I finally caved and bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I must say it was the battle between, Naked 1 , Naked Basics and this one ( Naked3).  The reason why I opted for the Naked 3 was the variety in rosey tones. All though still I want Naked 1 and  the Basics palette.

As I was in somewhat of a” want to buy” everything mode, I also bought the travel version of the All Nighter Spray .

Really can’t wait to try these items out!

What would you recommend buying from Urban Decay? Feel free to leave a comment!

Until next post friends!

What I ate in Bali

What I ate in Bali

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

This post is dedicated to all you foodies out there. I thought it was about time to share what I ate in Bali with you. Trust me food is very important  in my life and Asian food is one of my faves! So I could not say no to writing this post! Please note  that there were 2 days I had some European food ( I know shame on me! )

But without further a do please check out the food and some drinks I had in Bali!

Unfortunately I cannot remember what I had on each day but here is the overview :

Nasi Goreng Gambing, Seafood Curry ( Cannot recollect the name) , Nasi Goreng Kampoeng.Singaporean Noodles, Gado Gado, Corn Fritters and  Kwetiaw Goreng Seafood.

European

Haloumi and Beetroot Salad and Penne with Mushroom

Drinks

Tropical Cocktail ( Again forgotten the name) and a green ice tea. The great thing about that one was you could adjust the sweetness of your tea. As my experience was that the Iceteas in Bali and Singapore are real sweet.

Deserts

Pisang Goreng with Ice and Nutella and cheese croissants.  Now you would say this sounds strange but I was pleasantly surprised.

Food is a joy in my life and I hope to find more delicious food in the years coming.

What is your favorite food and what would you recommend me trying? Feel free to leave  a  comment.

Until next post friends!

Kim
