Complete Valentines look (make-up,hair and OTD)

Valentines day is around the corner and I thought it would be fun to do a complete look surounding Valentines day. I know there are heaps of tutorials for Valentine looks but here is my spin on it.

So lets get started for this special day❤

Skincare

First of all its very important to mosturize. So use your fave mosturizer and eyecream and let that sink into the skin

Make-up

It took a while to think of a look but I decided to go for a purple and pink look for the eyes and a nudish lip. It turned a little dark but I still liked it. Oops!

Firstly I started with my eye make-up.

As a base for my eye make-up, I covered my eyelid with my Color Tatoo (in pink gold). Afterwards I patted the inner two thirds of my eye lid with a pink shimmery pink from the Benefit Peek a bright eyes pallette. Whith a lavender colour I created more depth in the crease. And I create a more smokey look by darkening the outer corners with a dark purple eyeshadow from the NYX smokey Look collection.

Afterwards its time for the rest of my face. As I am a big fan of a dewy look, I combine my MAC strobe cream with my Bourjois healthy mix in Vanilla. I place some dots on my face and blend the combination of foundation and Strobe cream with my beauty blender. With a bumping motion I stipple the foundation all over the skin to get the face covered up all nicely.

Then its concealer time. I use the Maybeline fit me concealer (in shade 010) for the dark under eye circles.

After this stage you can set the concealer with a powder. I am usually bad with setting my concealer and foundation. But you can deffinetely set your concealer at this stage. Concealer is done and I nearly forgot my brows. I quickly filled in my brows with the Rimmel brow pencil (in dark brown).

To keep the skin dewy and last all day I spritz my face with MAC fix plus spray and let it sink in the face.

Afterwards the fun begins, as my face is so pale it needs some bronzing. For darkenning up the skin I used the Bourjois Maxi delight bronzer (in shade 01 fair medium ) . It has a little sparkle in that one but I don’tmind. For contouring I use the MAC bronzer ( give me sun). I used this bronzer in the hollow of my cheeks and on my temples.

As my eyes are sort of dramatic I want to keep the face quite neuteral with a pink blush. Today I am opting for a subtle pink blush by the brand Catrice (in shade 060 Strawberry Frappucino).

My eye look cannot be complete without some Mascara so I am using the Max Factor Clump defy Mascara (in black) Apparently it’s comparable to the Cover Girl Clump crusher. I don’t I know if this is true. I cannot compare this because we don’t have Cover Girl in The Netherlands. For those who want to add falsies you can do this at this stage. I covered my bottom lashes with Boots 07 Extreme Length Mascara (in black).

I finished the look with a nude Rimmel Colourburst lipbalm (in an unknown colour because it rubbed off ) and give my face one more good spritzing with MAC fix plus spray.

Clothing

For Valentines day I wanted to opt for something girly and pink so I am going for my black and pink tartan skirt. As my flowy black blouse is in the laundry at the moment grrr😬, I am opting for a simple black shirt. Both items are from Primark but I think both are very cute.

As I am a cold person I like to cover my legs with a pair of black leggings or thick black tights but for all those ladies who don’t have issues with the cold skin coloured tights with pumps would be very cute!

Accesories

I was planning to jazz up the outfit with my Tribal necklace but I thought it did not match the outfit. Therefore I opted for my Swarovski necklace that my boyfriend gave me about three years ago. And how perfect could this be! A little pink heart. Soooo cute.

I completed the look with my Burbery Purse and my Stravers boots for petite feet. Because boy do I have tiny feet. These suede boots make this look fun😊.

Hair

I was debating to wear my hair curly or in lose waves. But in the end I decided to wear my hair up in a bun. I used my hair donut to create this look for my stylish updo ! This hairstyle is very appropriate if you are going out for dinner.
