Thumbs Review: Starskin Nourishing and Cooling Double Layer Foot Mask Socks

Hi everybody dear readers and loyal subbies,

For today I am back with a new review,  and guess what is for one of my favorite beauty brands.  Yes you guessed right, it is StarSkin! I love this brand for their face masks and I thought lets try something new. So in a last shopping spree I opted for the Starskin Nourishing and Cooling Double Layer Foot Mask Socks as my  feet were and are in dire need of repair.

Starskin claims the following about these Foot Mask Socks

” Unique, patented foot mask intensely nourishes, soothes and revitalizes feet”
”Relieves swelling and cools down tired feet in just 20 minutes”
” Innovative Double-Layer Technology simulates the results of a professional foot spa”

Thumbs up for

Nourishing my feet, it got rid of a lot dryness I had on the sole of my feet.

Soothed my feet and took away some soreness that I had .

Thumbs down for

Did not experience the cooling effect the mask claimed. Would believe that  chilling the mask in the fridge would help.

Overall thoughts:

This mask helps to reduce a lot of dryness and reduced the overall look of cracks on my feet. Also my feet felt soft and nourished after use.

Have you ever tried this foot mask? And if so what were your thoughts about it. Any tips for softer feet? Please leave a comment.

Until next post friends.

Thumbs May Favorites

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

May flew by due to all the fun activities that were in it. I only worked 2 days in May and then I flew to Bali, celebrated my birthday and returned to work all refreshed at the end of May.   All in all it was awesome!  What made it more awesome were the favorites during this month. Let me start sharing them.

Bali– I am sorry to write about Bali again,  but this was my absolute favorite for the Month of May. It was so relaxing and beautiful. The people were so nice, the food was lovely, the hotel was awesome, just awesome and I never experienced walking into the sea that was lovely and warm. Yep it is officially I am going back this year and will discover some more awesome places and sites. If you are curious about my trip to Bali, feel free to click on this link.

Birthday – Yes I cannot believe I turned 30! 30!  Even though I did not celebrate this in a big way this one does deserve an honorable mention. Believe it or not I have learned a lot this last year, and all I know what I really want is to take care of myself and be happy .It might sound very selfish but I want to be able to make myself happy and not rely on others to feed my self worth. I hope to write soon a blog post about what I did and what I got for my birthday

Coloring book  – To entertain myself during I bought a coloring book. Not that I needed much entertaining by the way!  But usually during the afternoons I would just color some items on a page. Even now I am reaching out to my coloring book. It does feel somehow very relaxing during the evenings to unwind.

Sophie Kinsela’s new novel My not so perfect life – I am a huge fan of Sophie Kinsela’s books. They contain a lot of humor and they are just an easy read.  If you have not read this book I highly recommend it.

Glam Glow Thirsty Mud – Yes this product is so worth the hype . I used it as a mask and it hydrates the skin so beautifully. This product is a lifesaver on the plane. I believe that is why my skin survived the 14 hr flight so well to Bali.

Loreal Paris Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer in 101 Gone with the Nude – It is a lovely nude liquid lipstick, which goes very well with MAC Velvet teddy lipstick in my opinion. I love how easy it is to apply to your lips.  Partially this is due to the applicator.  I would say application is more easier than a regular lipstick. The only thing which I am not to keen about is the smell of this lacquer  it is very floral.

Thirteen Reasons Why -Even though this series talks about a heavy topic I believe it is worth while to see or even read the book. It makes you really think about the consequences of  how your deeds and words can impact someones life.

Dresses– Yeeh I was able to wear dresses again during the month of May. Overall the month of May was warm. It is just a nice feeling tot get your legs out there and not have them feel all tied up and claustrophobic during this nice warm weather.

I hope that the month of May gave you also multiple favorites and that you had as much fun as I did during that month! If you did, please feel free to leave a comment letting us all know what your favorites were or if you had an awesome month as I did.

Until next post friends,

Bali Day 6 + 7

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies

Another blog post dedicated to my trip to Bali. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Bali Day 6

I must say I did not do a lot this day. I can remember just being very lazy. I woke up late and had another pool day and having  a nice nap at the end of the day.

Bali Day 7

Today it was time for another excursion. I was picked up at 2.30  in the afternoon to go to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple. This Temple is situated on a cliff and the sunset is spectacular. And look at those cliffs and the nature and the water.

Afterwards we headed to the open air theater to watch  the Kecak Fire Dance. It was a nice experience to see, and some scenes were real funny, especially the last act.

After the dance we had a 30 min drive to the beach of Jimbaran to have dinner. Even though some of my fellow travelers  complained about the location I thought it was nice. Not to busy and touristy. We had a full menu of fish and some drinks. Also we saw the night light up with lanterns. Returning home it was shower and relax time.

If you have not checked out my other posts regarding my trip to Bali click please check out my blog.

Until next post friends!

Bali Day 5

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

The day started early at aprox 6.30 as I had to be ready by 8.00 hrs for the pick-up for my excursion to Ubud.

We started out at the Monkey Forest Sanctuary full of Macaque monkeys.  This was a fun excursion and the Forest was and is beautiful. To be honest the monkeys were quite cheeky once they knew you had food on you. Especially the leader.

Aferwards we left for Ubud market and the Kings Summer  Palace. At the moment they are restoring the palace but one thing I know for sure the palace will look beautiful once done. Really the architecture in Bali is beautiful. Even the airport love it.

After exploring Ubud for about 40 minutes it was back to the little bus and of to the Tirta Empul Temple.

This is a very peaceful place and we saw people cleansing themselves. Also we were witness of a very rare dancing ceremony.

Once we visited the temple it was time for lunch. I had Gado Gado. Very tasty!  This was the first time I had it without rice but none the less tasty.

For our last stop we visited local woodcarvers. I am so impressed  that these people can make such beautiful sculptures out of wood.

Afterwards we were dropped of at our hotels and I enjoyed a well deserved shower session.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and as always feel free to leave a comment.

Until next post friends!

Bali day 2 + day 3 + day 4

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

For today’s post, a combi of day 2, 3 and 4 Hope you don’t mind as I must say I was pretty dammn lazy. Especially day 4! Curious about my post? Continue reading below.

Day 2

I officially stayed here one full day. So far it was a good day of mooching around in my hotel and pool area.  Don’t know if I mentioned where I was staying but it is a hotel in the Sanur area and it is very modern. It is called Art Otel.

I was afraid of a bit of jet lag. But I am not sure if I have experienced it yet. At the moment I feel perfectly fine . So maybe I am Lucky?

For dinner I ate Mie Goreng and had Pisang Goreng for desert. It nice but I do feel that the Spice level needed to be upped. I can understand they do it for the tourists, but the essence of their food is lost.  Also I would love to see more Balinese Food on the menu because I love Asian food!

Day 3

After breakfast and killing the lid of an Asian pot which had Telor in it ( Why me? Felt so embarased) , I went to explore the beach of Sanur. Such a beautiful beach, and a tiny piece of heaven on earth.

After returning from the beach I decided to claim a spot at the swimming pool and remained there the whole afternoon. I must confess got a bit burned. The sun is so strong in Bali.

After chill time  I returned to my bedroom and had a little shower and rubbing myself with a lot of after sun.

For dinner I had Nasi Kampoeng.  Again where is my Spice! Maybe a lesson learned on my side is not to book a halfboard package in Asia. To be honest the prices are low here.

Day 4

Oops, did the jetlag  catch up with me or has my exhaustion caught up on me! Boy did I sleep for a long time. I woke up around 1.30 pm and got out my room at 3.00 pm. I know some will say a waste of the day but it is my holiday.  As the pool was fully packed I decided to walk to the Sanur center all though  did not make it far.

I decided to hit a cozy bar called Soul in a Bowl to have a drink and a snack. Check out these Cornfriters with  Sambal Peanut Sauce.  Tasty very tasty! Two thumbs up and I think I will visit that place again.

Afterwards I went to the super market to get some water and snacks😁.

I rounded  the day up at the swimming pool. Just chilling there and reading a book.  Currently I am reading Thirteen Reasons why. Such a heavy topic but a good read.

Tomorrow I will be out for my first excursion in Bali. I will be visiting the market in Ubud and some other things .So I hope to write about this soon.

I really hope you enjoyed reading about my Bali adventure.

Until next post friends!

A Week filled with Fun activities

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Spring has started with a bang and has been quite active for me this past week. You can really notice that spring has truly arrived. Blossom is everywhere, hay fever season has started, and birds laying eggs everywhere (literally) ! On my balcony non the less. But hey that is a different story. Therefor I thought it would be fun to share some of my activities  of the last week.  Hope you enjoy!

Emile Sande Concert  I was so psyched that I was going to see her live, and I managed to obtain tickets for last Wednesday’s concert in the Heineken Musical Hall.

OMG!  Emile has such a beautiful voice. The staging and backdrops for this concert were done so very beautiful.  It suited every single song so perfectly.  Such a great concert!

Beauty and the Beast

Saturday my sister and I  went to Beauty and the Beast. I must say that this was the best live action Disney film up till now.  The film was beautifully made and I enjoyed the twists that they put in the film .

Besides these fun outings I stuffed my face with loads of food as you might see in the pictures below. Such a good week!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and hope to see you back soon!

Until next post friends!

The smell, OMG the smell!  it is just gorgeous! It has Kukui Oil & Noni Fruit in it. Before using this shower foam, I have never  smelled these scents before.

Cheaper option than the Rituals option, only € 7.99. Don’t get me wrong I love Rituals but hey love this product and love the price.

No allergic reaction  and leaves the skin hydrated and not dry!

Thumbs down for:

Just a minor one! You finish the 200 ml real quickly. Booo !

Overall thoughts

This product rocks! Really love it!  The smell the texture the feel. Just so good! I am really curious about the rest of the range. So hope to try something new from this range soon.
