Thumbs nails of the week Rimmel 828 Danny Boy Blue

Thumbs nails of the week Rimmel 828 Danny Boy Blue

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

For today’s post I am sharing something blue on my nails.  I went for a cobalt blue polish from Rimmel named Danny Boy Blue ( 828).

I must say the color of this polish draws your eyes to your nails. I just think this color is a stunning blue and I must say my favorite kind of blue. For my nails I used 3 coats of polish. I am noticing that eventhough I used 3 coats that it is not as opaque as I want it to be. Which is a downside. Also my nails do not dry within 60 seconds as states on the bottle. That said the drying properties are not bad.   So what do you think of these nails?

Thumbs nails of the week Miss Sporty in 550

Thumbs nails of the week Miss Sporty in 550

Hi everybody,

For Thumbs Nails of the Week I opted for a Miss Sporty polish, in color 550. A rosey/mauvey like color.  I purchased this particular polish a couple of weeks ago and thought it was time to write about this polish. If you want to read about the other polishes I got, click here. Unfortunately in this time and space I somehow lost the polish and could not insert more photo’s. I would say its a gift misplacing things.

So lets get to my thoughts and opinion:

I really like the color. Its a beautiful rosey /mauvey color. Right up my alley. Also I like the wide brush tip. As I have some experience with these polishes I had to use 3 layers of polish to make it nice and opaque.

How do you like this look on my nails?

Please share any thoughts you have on the Miss Sporty polishes or leave a comment. Until the next post.

Thumbs nails of the week Miss Sporty haul

Thumbs nails of the week Miss Sporty haul

Welcome back dear readers and loyal subbies,

Today I am back with another haul for nails. The star of today’s post is Miss Sporty. I believe this brand is from the UK, but do correct me if I am wrong! This nail polish is very nostalgic to me because this is one of the first nail polishes I used when I was about 11. I used to be in love with this pearly color.

This brand is so affordable and the most expensive polish was €2.49. Because it is fall/ and soon to be winter I wanted some fall colors and I was a little curious how these would perform after so many years of not using these polishes.

In total I purchased six polishes and one base coat. A peel off base coat to be very specific. But enough written, let me tell you which polishes I purchased. I will write these polishes down from left to right.

  • Miss Sporty Lasting Color Nail Polish in 550 Don’t brick my dream €2.49. Now this is a lovely rosey color, a mix between pink and red.
  • Miss Sporty Lasting Color Nail Polish in 035 €2.49 This is a nice purple color. Its not really a very dark purple but a middle purple. Very appropriate for winter time.
  • Miss Sporty Lasting Color Nail Polish Gel Shine in 556 €1.99. Aaa the love affair continues with the nude colors. This is a taupe leaning more to brown color. I don’t believe I have a color like this in my collection. But I might be wrong.
  • Miss Sporty Lasting Color Nail Polish in 151 Red €2.49 This red is a darker toned red than the next polish. However this does remind me of Tanya Burrs red polish in Riding Hood.
  • Miss Sporty Lasting Color Nail Polish in 150 Red €2.49 This red is a blue toned red very Christmassy!
  • Miss Sporty Lasting Color Nail Polish in 80 Black €2.49. I cannot give any other specs on it than its black
  •  Miss Sporty Peel off base coat€ €2.49.

Thumbs nails of the week Rimmel in Sensual Spice

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies ,

Welcome back to Thumbelinaslifestyle! Today I am back with a full post on the Rimmel Sensual Spice Nail Poilish from the Dare to go Bare collection.Last week I wrote about my haul, and today I am sharing my thoughts on this polish. If you are curious about the haul click here.

wpid-20151004_222159.jpg

O boy guys, I am in love with the colour of this polish! Such a Kylie Jenner lip colour but, only for your nails. Its just a beautiful brown color  with golden specs in it. Rimmel/ Kate Moss did so well on this colour. I find this  colour so elegant and fall like. And I definitely l agree with the name Sensual Spice, because it does look sensual.

wpid-20151004_222146.jpg

Besides the coloour that I am in Love with, I really like the formulation of this polish. It just glides on the nails beautifully and I like the brush because it just fits the nail so well. And two thin coats does the charm for your nails.

wpid-20151004_222346.jpg

The only downside I can find  with this polish, is that I have already some chipping on my nails .But again that colour makes that bad feeling go away

Have a good week guys! And hope to see you back soon to Thumbelinaslifestyle! And as always be free to leave a comment or follow me via Thumbelinaslifestyle.com or BlogLovin.

Thumbs nails of the week Essie Clambake

Thumbs nails of the week Essie Clambake

Hi everybody, dear readers and subbies,

Today I am sharing another polish post. To be quite honest I forgot I had this polish in my collection and it is a beautiful red, orangey colour. Essie’s Clambake.

wpid-20150809_121656.jpgwpid-20150809_121532.jpg

I don’t think the name does this polish any justice. It should be called 40’s Diva  or Pinup girl. I love how this polish glided on the nail and it dried really quick. Maybe it dried quick because this polish was really runny. And that is the only downside I would say about this polish because you did need 3 layers of this polish for an opaque look.

wpid-20150809_121635.jpg

Saying the last: Loving this polish! I really don’t know why I have not used this polish more this year. For last weeks Thumbs Nails click here.

I hope you all will have a lovely week and hope to see you soon! For more posts feel free to follow me on Thumbelinaslifestyle.com or BlogLovin

Thumbs nails of the week ”Mint Candy Apple”

Hi everybody,

I am back with a new Thumbs nails of the week. Today I am sporting Essies Mint candy Apple. A lovely minty colour, perfect for summer.

20150726_211432

I can understand why this polish is a cult favourite among bloggers. It is such a perfect colour for spring and summer. When I look at my nails they look so happy cheerful. I know that sounds stupid but it makes you feel happy when its raining and storming in summer!

wpid-20150726_211447.jpg20150726_211342

I used  two coats to make this colour pop and sealed it in with a topcoat, to make it extra shiny.

For last weeks Thumbs nails click here. Once again thank you for reading this post and hope to see you back for next weeks Thumbs nails. Have a good week folks.

Thumbs nails of the week haul

Thumbs nails of the week haul

Hi dear readers and loyal subbies,

After a week of radio silence, I am finally back with a quick little nail and feet haul. I thought my little hands and feet deserved a little pampering so I went online and purchased some goodies. I know it should be all about the nails but I think feet care or a.k.a hoof care ,is essential!

So lets get through my little stack.

Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Foot File

So my feet were really bad.  My boyfriend has softer feet than I do!  That is just so embarrassing. So I was contemplating purchasing this foot file for a long time. And after seeing my sis buying this file and loving it , she persuaded me to buy it. This is just such good alternative to doing your feet manually with a foot file. So if you have a little cash to splurge its worth it.

Scholl Velvet Smoot Callous cream

To take care after I have filed my feet, I bought the Scholl Velvet Smooth Callous cream I am hoping I will get nice soft feet after I use  this cream. But we shall see.

Finishing with the cream concludes my haul. I hope you enjoyed this petite haul and would love to see you back soon If you liked this blog or these types of posts, please like or subscribe to my blog or follow me on BlogLovin.

This polish is a cult favourite amongst  bloggers and You Tubers and rightly so!. Its a lovely periwinkle colour with very fine specs of glitter/shimmer. Which you can’t really notice on your lovely nails . I do get a ‘let’s go to the beach right now” feeling when wearing this polish. It makes me feel like I want to go outside and not be locked int an office building.

So here’s how the polish looks on the nails.

Thumbs nails of the week Essie ‘not just a pretty face’

Thumbs nails of the week Essie ‘not just a pretty face’

Hi everybody,

I am back for another installment of Thumbs nails of the week. Today I am writing this post on a very grey and rainy day cuddled up on my couch. I had to do some grocery shopping and it was just horrible. Getting soaked by very fine baby rain which I underestimated. Therefore I needed some cheering up by using a pretty polish when I got in.

wpid-20150531_213202.jpg

Because of my Essie haul two-three weeks ago, I went for the polish ‘ Not just a pretty face’. And this polish is not just a pretty face, it is a beautiful baby pink and has a nice sheen too it. We sometimes write about lipsticks ‘your lips but better’ well this is the feeling I have about this polish. Underneath our nails there is pinky skin and this polish just emphasizes that.

wpid-20150531_213339.jpgwpid-20150531_213457.jpg

When painting my nails I did use three coats to get an opaque colour and to make the baby pinky really pop. Again this polish dries really quickly. Once again I would say this polish is very appropriate for the office but compared to the other nudes I went for in the past, it has pinky tones instead of the taupey/brownish tones.

I can honestly write I don’t regret purchasing this polish. It has a lovely clean look.

Hope you enjoyed this post. If you like these types of posts check out last weeks Thumbs nails.

Thumbs nails of the week feeling like Cinderella

Thumbs nails of the week feeling like Cinderella

Hi my dear readers,

I am back with a new Thumbs nails of the week. As I have written in this title I went for an Essence polish with a Disney ring to it. I am sporting Prince Charming (03)from Essences Cinderella collection in this blog post.

wpid-20150510_224314.jpg

I was personally not aware that Essence also released a Cinderella collection. Check out this collection here.

Anyway I discovered this collection at the drugstore Kruidvat this Sunday . As I was in need for a polish. I picked up two from this collection one called Bibidi Bobbidi Boo a pinky polish and this one in Prince charming.

wpid-20150510_224337.jpg

So what can I say about this polish? First of all the bottle is really cute with a silver lid. Secondly the colour is an unique purpley , blue colour and this polish has a metallic look to it. It must have been inspired by Cinderella’s dress.

wpid-20150510_224355.jpg

The polish cost at  Kruidvat  1.99 euro a steal!. And I got away with two coats of polish. Also a good thing was the polish glided on. Not streaky, this is very important too me.

wpid-20150510_224457.jpg

All in all a good and fun polish. I would say this polish is more appropriate for a night out or clubbing. It’s a little in your face for the office. Furthermore I am curious how long this polish will wear. Also next time I would use a topcoat as I think this would look nice  A last note I would have preferred this colour to be non metallic as the colour is beautiful.

With the magic words ‘Bibbidi bobbidi boo’ my Cinderella’s post ends.

I hope you all enjoyed this magical post. If you did please like and subscribe.
