Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Due to being struck by a lovely cold, I have combined 3 days of Advent Calendar Fun. Today it is official and we are through half of the unboxing of the calendars. 12 More days till Christmas!  After these last 12 days I must say that the Body Shop Calendar  is winning for preference however there are some winners in the HEMA Calendar aswell.  Anyhow enough talk and let’s get through our goodies.

Body Shop

Day 10

Strawberry Lipbutter -Hmmm I already love the strawberry Body Butter so this will go down a treat

Day 11

Vanila Chai Softening Body Lotion- Smells lovely, don’t smell the chai though. Plus would not have mind if the vanila would come through a bit more.

Day 12

Eye Definer in black-  I have not used an eyeliner in a long time but this one does feel very creamy.

HEMA

Day 10

 Gold Charm Bracelet- I really like the organic pattern of the charm bracelet

Day 11

 Golden snow flake earrings-Totally cute to wear for Christmas Day.

Day 12

Silver Clover earrings-Hmmm am I starting to describe everything as clover earrings. But to me they look like clovers.

Another interesting set of goodies collected for these last three days. Let see what the last twelve days have in store for us. Hope you all enjoyed this  post.

Hi Everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

It is time to open the windows in my Advent Calendars for Day 7. Are you all not very exited! I am! Let’s get started and hope that there are some goodies to collect.

Body Shop

Today there was a little box to be found in the window and it had a little sharpener in it. A couple of days I was looking for this little tool and now I have one. Very good!

HEMA

In window number 7 of the HEMA calendar I found a set of golden earrings with a little stud in it. I am still not sure what they are supposed to be? Presents? Ribbons? Hmmm! I have to see this one is not exciting me to much, it is nice but not loving it.

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Welcome back to Thumelinaslifestyle! About 3 weeks ago, I published my Thumbs 2016 favorites. As we all know, life does not consist out of just favorite things  so here are my unfaves for 2016.  Products/things I would not even recommend to my worst enemies. So lets get started.

unfaves

Make up

  • Soap and Glory Pucker up lipgloss. I have not written about this before but I don’t like the sensation  of putting a vibrator to my lips. Very uncomfortable. I just don’t like the sensation on my lips.
  • Catrice Absolute Matte palete.  Unpigmented  shadows with quick fading effect.
  • Etos Mascara all in one  and Etos Mascara in Mega Volume. These are really the worst mascara’s for 2015. Etos has a lot of nice products but these are not one of them. These mascara’s are very flaky.

Body  

  • Nivea in shower moisturiser. Mentioned in my unfavorites before. Do I need to mention this again. Vile chemical smell.

Nails

  • Herome nail polish click here to read about that disaster

A gorgeous Lush present Unboxing

Hi everybody,

Yesterday was my last day working as a customer service representative for an automotive company . That’s right I have a new job which is more suited to me. I am really excited to start my new job next week!

But that’s not the reason I am writing this post. My ex-colleagues bought me a lovely present . A lush goody box. Oh my god I am loving it. The smells that are coming out this box are amazeballs.

So let get through my gift box.The gift box is called Little Ro’s Flowers. And this gift box is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen story Little Ida’s Flowers. All though I don’t know this story ,once I open this box the smells  that are coming from this box are  so delicious that I don’t want to read up on that story.

This box contains six products.

  • Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner. I really like the smell of this product. it has a floral smell too it. I can imagine you don’t have to use any perfume after you used this in the shower. Looking forward to trying this product.

  • Tender is the Night massagbar. This soap smells like Jasmine and Ylang Ylang. Somehow this soap triggers memories of my grandmother. So I think I will keep this soap close to my heart.

  • Rose Jam showergel. This shower gel smells so fresh and floral. You can also smell the lemon in this shower gel which I love.

  • 100 g Vanilla Dee-Lite body lotion.  A lovey combination of Vanilla and Tonka bean delicious. If this will give my body the smell of Vanilla and Tonka bean like the Body Shops air difusers I am going to fall in love with this product.

  • 10 g Gorgeous  Moisturizer. An moisturizer that consists of oils and fruit juices.

My kind colleagues also purchased an extra gift .

  • Flying Fox, a shower gel that contains Honey and Jasmine. I do find the Jasmine note to be more in your face than the honey note. But I have not used the shower gel yet, so I can’t tell my overall thoughts about this shower gel.

My favourites out of this box are:

The Rose Jam shower gel, The Honey I washed the kids soap and the Vanilla Dee-Lite body lotion. All and all I am very happy what my ex-colleagues bought me and I am very excited to try these items out. I definitely feel spoiled

My dear dear readers,

Welcome back to Thumbelinaslifestyle it is May and another month has gone and passed. I am soooo excited for this month, a lot of exciting of things are going to happen but for now let ‘s go through my little brown bag full of goodies. Somehow I have a lot of items to share with you all.

Hair

  • Sebastian Thickefy Foam. For people with fine thin hair (like me) this product is great. The product thickened my hair enormously after I washed and blow dried my hair.
  • Cameleo permanent hair color cream in dark brown. Love this hair colouring and for the price its super. Especially for girls on a budget. We all want to look good but don’t want to be scraping the barrel at the end of the month.

  • Mac Fix Plus. I only have good things to say about this product. I love the feeling when I spritz this on my face so refreshing. Also it does make your make up last longer.
  • Max Factor Clump defy mascara in black. Some people claim that this mascara is a dupe for the Cover Girl clump crusher. Even though I have never tried the Cover girl mascara, I have to write, I don’t like this mascara. I thought I liked this mascara but every day I came home I had residue or flaking underneath my eyes.
  • Catrice Glamour Doll Curl &Volume Mascara. Urgg the rant continues. Could not believe I had this mascara in my beauty case. Needed to get rid of it plus it dried out completely.
  • Lobello Pearly shine lip balm. This lip balm was ok however this balm did not work for me when I had chapped lips. The shine doubles the effect of chapped lips.
  • Max Factor False lash effect mascara in black. Need I write more, I have been loving this mascara for a while now. Thank god I have a back -up mascara.Please Max Factor don’t discontinue this mascara.
  • Super Drug Nourishing Nail remover pads.My thoughts are still the  same good item for purse. This in case of emergencies.
  • Catrice Made to stay Inside Eye highlighter pen. This product seemed to work for the first view weeks but afterwards it seemed to dry up and the product did not function anymore.

Body

  • Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash. I love this revitalizing body wash. Such a shame that no drugstore in Holland stocks it. I might have found a similar and cheaper body wash. But still  I wouldn’t mind a store that sells it.
  • Soap & Glory  Smoothie Breakfast Scrub. Love the smell and the effect it has on my body. Read all about this in my  lazy day blog.  Love love  this scrub
  • Van der Hoog Yummy Yogurt face mask. This was the first time I used this face mask and boy was this nice. The smell is sooo fresh and it does make my face feel so soft. Since I loved this mask I restocked this mask. Hmm might have a little mask time this Sunday.
  • Oral B floss. It was just floss only pity I could not finish the product as I could not get the floss out in the end.
  • Super Drug blended tea oil. Aaha the love affair continues. This product is amazeballs and helps against spots or other little skin issues
