What I got for Christmas 2018

Hi Everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

First of all I hope you all had amazing holidays! May you have enjoyed the company with your loved ones and possibly some scrummy yummy food.

Valentino by Mario Valentino bag Velvet Navy coloured bag. I was eyeballing a similar bag one day when shopping with my sis. So she generously got me this. It is such a stylish item and perfect for a night on the town.

Ikea gift card ( I am still in need of buying items for my house and Ikea has nice and convenient things for that purpose) This was gifted by my parents. Thanks mom and dad!

Amazon gift card ( Always useful and I can get whatever I want) Gifted by my aunt and uncle.

Ritual of Yalda & Holi Moley Shower Gel (These smell so delicious and Cream On Body Cream in Ritual of Holi. I am going to smell fabulous in 2019!😎) Gifted by my boyfriends sister.

A tiny, tiny Mac Haul

Hi dear readers and loyal subbies,

Saturday I popped in the Douglas, and was immediately drawn to the MAC counter. I just love looking at the lipsticks and blushes at the MAC counter. In the end I left the Douglas with a lipstick, lipgloss and pro longwear concealer. So let me show you my goodies.

So the first thing I picked up was MAC syrup. My sister bought this lipstick about 2 months ago and I really like how it looks on her. So therefor I could no longer resist not having this in my collection. Its a beautify pink /light raspberry color and very appropriate for Autumn. It glides on my lips easily and has the lovely MAC smell to it.

For my second purchase I chose the Vamplify lipgloss in Anything but demure. This is a new limited edition highly pigmented gloss from MAC. The font that Mac used for this packaging is great and looks very Vampire-ish. Yes yes I know that is not a word but I am sure your feeling me here. Usually I am not a big fan of a lipgloss, but I wanted to know what the hype was for. So I tried two colours and thought that this one looked the best on my lips. Again this color is great for the Autumn and a lovely nude to add to my collection. And just one last thing, the smell of this lipstick smells like glorious cake, so yummy.

For my last choice I opted for the Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NC25. Now I have been on the hunt for a descent,high end concealer for sometime,and I thought yesterday why not. Recently I have been suffering from some spots and dark circles and I just wanted to have a descent concealer removing all that bad stuff. Also I wanted some help from the make-up artist choosing the right shade for my skin tone as I did not want to go to light.I do have to admit the reason why I purchased this concealer is because I heard a lot of good things on You Tube. Once the make up artist applied the concealer beneath my eye to hide my blueness it looked so much better. I could really see the difference between one side and the other. It looked like I had descent night sleep for once.

Birthday shopping, lunch and gifts

Hi my dear readers,

Last Wednesday my big sis took me out for shopping and lunch as a b-day gift. Also she let me pick two items from the MAC counter in Douglas 😍. Hurrah for MAC. Even my sis picked up a new lippie.

So let me go back in time and describe to you this delightful day or as Barney Stinson from how I met your mother would say dee- ( pause from drama) lightful.

We planned to meet up at 13:00 hours,but whoops was late (sorry sis). In the end we met up at 13:45 as the train and bus connections worked out. Maybe it helped a little that the train was delayed for 5 minutes.

We started out to go too Douglas a big retailer for highend makeup in The Netherlands and Germany. So like I mentioned before we started out at Douglas at the MAC counter. We were helped by a lovely lady and I already knew I wanted to have the Angel lipstick. To go with this lipstick I also got my very first MAC lip liner in Rosy Rim. My sis bought the lipstick Velvet Teddy, a lipstick which is on my wish list too.

After this we decided to have some lunch. We were planning not to go too Bagels and Beans but in the end we went there because their coffee and food is delicious.

So this was what I chose at Bagels and Beans for lunch:

A Pado burger. Reading back the name of that bagel it sounds so wrong. (Fyi Bagel and Beans is not that kind of coffee shop)

A home made mixed Juice and a chai latte made with Soy Milk. I love their chai. Yum yum. Lunch was delicious as usual but next time I will opt for my precious Bagel with goat cheese and honey or their Japanese Salmon bagel. Check out the picture below.

After lunch we went to do some groceries for dinner (Fried Rice and Charsiu) Before we went to my sis house I did manage to visit another highend and drugstore stores. I purchased brow gels/fillers to compare with my L’Oreal brow plumper. I opted for a brow gel from Essence and Gosh. When I came home and tested this on my sis The first results where really disappointing and one of the brow gels gave my sister an itch. So I will get back too you on this matter.

Before and during dinner we watched some films and series which was very cozy. All I can say I had an awesome day.

Essie a very special Thumbs nails Haul

My dear dear readers,

I am very excited to write about this tiny Essie Haul. Lately I was in the mood to haul some polishes for spring and summer. Therefor I went online and saw that they had an offer on Essie polishes at Bol.Com. Buy one get one half price, you don’t have to tel me twice!! The only polish that I also purchased which is still on route is Essies Bikini so Teeny. But I was so excited to show you guys these polishes that I could not wait to write this post.

Picket Perfect

This is a beautiful brownish nude colour.This was the first polish i tried when I received my parcel. I Painted my toes with this colour and its beautiful. It’s like having a tan on my toes compared to my pale,pale body. But I love it!

Not just a pretty face

This colour is a light coloured pink.I have not tested this polish yet, but I hope this will give a nice and polished look too my nails. I think this polish will be a very appropriate polish for the office.

Spin the Bottle Essie spring Limited Edition

This polish looks a little lighter in colour than Essie’s Sand Tropez. Click here for Thumbs nails of the week on the colour Saint Tropez. I am guessing that I will fall in love with this polish because I love taupe/nude colours.

Marshmallow

A nice white polish which will give me a nice crisp look for the summer. Also I can use this polish as a base for neon polishes to make them pop more. This little tip I learned from the blogger/YouTuber Polished by Amy. Click here to check her Blog/YouTube Channel out. She gives great tips and creates lovely/stunning nail looks.

L’oreal Haul

My dear dear readers,

I am back again with a tiny haul. Two weeks ago I accidentally popped into Etos (lol). I should really stop popping in to Etos. Especially when they have good offers like buy 1 get 1 free. This time I was seduced by the wonders of L’oreal. In Holland this brand is quite expensive for drugstore so I gladly took advantage of the buy 1 get 1 free offer.So lets see what kind of marvelous stuff I purchased from L’oreal

After trying these items several times, I just have to say this little haul was successful. My favourite items being the L’oreal Infallible 24 hour matte foundation. For me this foundation is full coverage and the colour matches me perfectly. Although the swatch above does not show it. The powder compliments this foundation perfectly. Totally recommend them together. What I notice when using this foundation it dries really quickly and its not suitable for people with dry skin. And if you do have dry skin and you want to use this foundation, moisturize your face like crazy.

The other love affair I started is with the L’oreal Brow artist plumper in Medium/Dark It really tames my wild brows. The only product that made me go mreh was the L’oreal Lumi Magique foundation. It did not work for me the first time I used the foundation, plus the colour was a little to dark for me. But I will give this product a shot. Otherwise I might give this foundation a shot for the summer.

Collective Beauty Haul March 2015

I am back with a mini collective Haul. Mostly, I purchased new lippies. I purchased these products at Bol.com and Etos. Sorry guys, you must think I only haul from these stores. It’s just that it’s easy to purchase from Bol.Com and I just like the store concept from Etos. The store feels luxurious and more clean than most drug stores in the Netherlands. Also they have a wide variety of products and make-up brands. So please don’t think that I am sponsored by these companies, I have purchased these items with my own money and my opinion is always genuine.After this short explanation, let’s get started:D

Bol.com

So the first place where I purchased some lippies was at Bol.com. I am always on the look for finding cheap product which works as good as any other lip product for me. So through my browsing on the site I found the brand Mrs Sporty I remember using polishes of this brand, when I was in my teens and I used to love these items. Remembering that I used to like the polishes of Mrs Sporty, I opted for these lipsticks.

Even before testing these lipsticks I can already say I dislike the baby pink colour and definitely regret purchasing this colour. On the website it looked different. It’s a sick making pink. I really don’t have a good thing to say about this colour. I need to figure out what to do with this lipstick. Maybe find a tutorial on making my own lip balm. Any suggestions guys?

Collective Beauty Haul

Hi everybody,

Here is a collective beauty haul for you too enjoy. I have collected these items the last two weeks from the drugstore Etos and from Bol.com, comparable too Amazon but a lot tinier. So lets get started.

Last friday I went to the drugstore Etos. I did not find a lot but I did find a good deal on the L’Oréal Caresse lipgloss balm.

You guys this lip glossy smells sooooo good. It smells deliciously fruity. The colour is in 300 Juliet. I already own one of these glosses and I really liked this gloss.

Ussually I am not a glossy girl. Also this product was 50% off😊! So I only payed €7.50 yeeh.

As I finished my Anastasia brow wizz I was looking for an alternative as I was thinking my Bennefit brow powder was looking very harsh on my face lately. As I was allready in the drugstore I was looking for a cheaper alternative.

In the end I settled for the Rimmel eye brow pencil in dark brown. I hope this product is going to work for me. I purchased this brow pencil for €6.49.

I don’ know if this item belongs in this section but I bought the Babyliss MS2IE multistyler hair tool. I was looking for a tool that could curl and crimp my hair.It gives you the oppurtunity to style your hair in 8 different ways😄. Good huh!

Let me know if you want to read a more indept review about this product. This item I purchased at Bol.com and retails there at €34.99.

Keeping up with the hair theme I purchased 2 packs of hair dye from the brand Camelon. I never heard from this brand before I tried this product. And I love the result.

I always was

sceptical dying my own hair but

my boyfriends mother persuaded me to give it a try. Also its way cheaper than going to a hair dresser plus the colour is good as long as you follow the instructions! But there is nothing wrong going to the hairdressers for a little pampering.

Nourishment of the skin in the winter is essential especially if you get dry skin like me. I am a big fan of Vaseline for dry skin. This time I went for a tub container which cost € 6.99. I Still prefer the tubes though😉.

One of the last products I was desperate in need for were razors. I was running out of them and I rather not turn in a little hair ball. Usually I go for gillette razors but now I went for disposable. They were on a really good offer. I paid for 15 disposable rasors € 5.49, from the brand Wilkinson . I still have to make my mind up about these rasors.

This little haul would not be complete if I didn’t buy my favourite facial wipes. I bought the Etos sensitive and sensitive combination facial wipes.
