Hello everybody,

I thought it was about time to share my empties for June and July. All I can say these two months have been crazy and time just flew by. I just did not really have the time to post in June Therefor I just combined the month June and July together. I thought I did not have a lot of empties. But looking at the list below it seems quite a lot. But what the heck, just go through them.

Repurchase and recommend?

There are definitely products that I would repurchase and recommend.

Garnier Micellair water 400 ml. So yes I might have written that I wasn’t blown away in the beginning. However when I stopped using this stuff, I noticed I was having baby breakouts on my chin. So yeah repurchased for sure.
Dr Van der Hoog Yummy Yoghurt mask. Firstly this smells so good! and It leaves your skin so soft and moisturised.
Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditoner. Again this smells great! And its nice to put on your lotion in the shower. It does save time.

Errrg pass on that one!

Sanex dermo moisturising dermo oils 500 ml showergel. I don’t hate this one. But this is not a shower gel I would repurchase. I did not really like the formulation and the smell is not my fave.
Super Drug Tea Tree Facial Cleansing Pads. I just did not feel this product was working for me.

Thumbs May favourites plus one unfavourite

Hi everyone, subbies and dear readers,

So per tradition after monthly empties , comes May favourites. So brace yourself and lets get through my monthly favourites.

Beauty

* Bourjois Shine Edition in 23 Grenade in. This lipstick is sooo moisturising because of the mango butter in it. Its heavenly for the lips. Its just lovely and the colour screams summer! It is just a happy/cheerful coulour. And compared with my next favourite its just a heavenly combo.

*L’Oreal Caresse lacquer in 300 Juliet. This lacquer gives that little extra to the lipcombo. And come on the smell of this lacquer is just really yummy. Furthermore this is also a fun product to wear by itself.

*MAC Angel ( frost finish) My birthday present ! I just really love the look and the finish. It is a beautiful pink and the frosting just gives that little extra. Arrggg this lipstick is hard to describe but its gorgeous.

Hair

* Andrelon dry shampoo I told you this shampoo would have a chance to get into my monthly favourites and it did! This dry shampoo revives nasty/greasy looking hair plus the shampoo has a really nice smell too it. I usually keep on smelling the fragrance all day.

Series

*Pretty little Liars. I cannot believe it took so long for me to watch this show. I started the thirst episode a long time ago and then stopped. How stupid was I! This series is fascinating and it makes you want to have a marathon session all the time. I cannot believe that each season has that many episodes. I think each season has 20 episodes. Also the fashion shown in the series is great. I really like Aria”s fashion. I have nearly finished season one and cannot wait what season 2 has in store for me. *Penny Dreadful. Woohoo series 2 is back on Netflix and its Soo GOOD. The show dives deeper in the lives of the characters and the evil that is awaiting them. There are a lot of moments that make me go say what. It seems that they have ampt up the nudity in the show. Every Friday on Netflix a new Episode is released and I usually cannot wait until the next week. I believe we are trailing America with one week. Yeeh for Netflix! Food

*Oatmeal. During the month of May I have been eating oatmeal like crazy. Its a good breakfast to start the day with as it keeps me reasonable full during the morning. Also its full off fiber. Which is healthy for the body. Also when I am sort of feeling peckish, I would have a bowl of oatmeal instead of something sweet or savoury. Personally I do associate oatmeal as an more autumny/wintery sort of food.

Unfavourite

*Liv Faux Leather jacket I don’t know what happened to this jacket but look at it. The jacket looks completely shredded. It such a shame because I really liked this as spring to summer transfer jacket. I did not notice this before , but the jacket looked so tatty. So I had to throw this away it was not even worth it to give this away . Check it out the complete carnage!!

The sunny side on this sad situation is, that once I have some money I can purchase a new jacket! WIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

So this month contains a weird mix of faves but hey that’s why they are my favourites.

Thumbs May empties

Hello my dear readers,

Once again, thank you for clicking on Thumbelinaslifestyle.com! I am always soooo happy when you click on my beloved blog (my precious!). So the month May has passed and gone and I can say May went by sooo quickly. A lot of good things happened and one bad thing.

So the good things being my birthday and my new job (yeeh for that!) the bad sucky thing being stripped of my id card,bankcards travel cards. Stripped in the bad way of being pick pocketed! Frustration to the max at that moment. And I do admit I had to reach for my paper bag to just keep breathing.But all and all the month May was pretty epic.

So a little side note I used to call these types of posts xxxx month Empties but as this is Thumbelinaslifestyle I decided to give my personal twist to my empties. And decided to call my empties Thumbs xx month empties. So without further ado lets get started with Thumbs May empties.

Beauty

* Maybeline eye studio quad in natural impact. This quad had to be added to my list ,as mine broke up to powder. This was a nice quad and I loved the khaki greens and golds in this quad . I would repurchase this palette.

Face

*Clinique all about eyes serum. I love this for under my eye it has a nice de-puffiing and cooling effect. I did feel this product helped to control the little creases underneath my eyes. Would definitely repurchase this eye serum

* Super Drug Tea Tree daily cleanser and toner. I really liked this product and it made a nice last step to my evening facial routine. It felt like it got rid of the last bits of dirt/make up. Unfortunately this product has been discontinued to my complete horror. This means when I am back in England I will have a complete haul down at Super Drug.

*Etos calming day cream ultra sensitive. I really like this budget friendly moisturizer. It moisturizes my face really well and it does not break me out and it did not cause any redness. The only time it did not give enough moisture was around March.

*Super Drug dry skin relief cream. This product was marvelous. Especially when you are suffering of dry skin on your face hands body and for the price of a euro! This product saved my skin in the month of March when it was suffering from dryness. I Would repurchase this cream again. If possible of course!

Super Drug 50 ml tea tree oil blended oil. Love, love and more love!

* Etos cotton pads. They are cotton pads and work fine. I do prefer the bigger pads though.

Hair

*Andrelon iedere dag shampoo ( Every day shampoo) This shampoo I really like for everyday usage and this does not dry my hair out. My current shampoo is way more drying and at the moment I am not impressed.Also this shampoo is budget friendly. Would I repurchase this shampoo? Definitely!

*Andrelon hair mask Care & Repair for dry damaged hair. Its a good mask and I do think it reduced hair breakage. I am still contemplating if I would repurchase this mask.

*Trekpleister dry shampoo. Hmm what to write about this dry shampoo? I can’t say I loved this product because this product really left a white cast over your hair. One day I came into the office with a great grey/whitish streak. The smell of this shampoo was ok. Because of the white cast over my hair I would not repurchase this dry shampoo.

*Kruidvat heat protection. I was actually quite surprised with this product especially for the price. I believe it cost round 3 euros and I did notice my hair did not fall out as much. Also at the moment I am testing the L’Oreal one which is 1.5 times more expensive and I would consider repurchasing the Kruidvat one than the L’Oreal.

Nails

* Essie Turquoise & Caicos. I really liked this colour especially for this season. The reason this polish landed in my empties is becaus it went gloopy. If that is even a word. I just could not work with this polish.

* Rimmel finishing touch topcoat. Actually the same storry as the above. This is a really good topcoat and would recommend this topcoat.

Oral/body hygiene

* Ah toothpaste in cool mint. I prefer other toothpastes brands but it did work.

*Rexona skin care sensitive 48 hours deodorant. I have mentioned this item before and if I would not like this product I would not repurchase this deodorant.

Collective make-up + hair haul + free Dove goodie bag

Hello readers and dear subbies,

Today I am sharing a collective make-up + hair haul with you all. I shopped at the highstreet drugstores Kruidvat, Trekpleister and Etos. In this haul you can read all about the following brands:

*Catrice *Maybeline *L’Oréal *Beyonce *Super Drug *Andrelon ( Part of Unilever)

Catrice in C01 Brave Bronze part of their Nomadic Traces Limited Editon €4.99 . Check out Catrices website here and check out this limited collection. The reason why I hovered over to this display, was their packaging of this limited edition. To me the pattern looks very Arabic/ African and the the collection has a lot of earthy tones ( which I like)

This bronzer is a matte bronzer and has a lovely sunbeam pattern in it. I have used this bronze once and I do notice that the pattern will fade quickly. My first impressions of this bronzer is really good it has a cool tone too it and I loved the way it applied to my skin.

Catrice Matt nude palette € 4.99. I needed a new eye shadow palette for at my parents house and I didn’t want to spent a lot of money. I have tried this pallet twice and I am not loving it. The only 2 colours I semi liked, were the last darker colour. The other colours I barely noticed on my skin and they were patchy. But I will give this palette a try maybe i will change my mind about this palette.

Maybeline the Nudes Palette €15.99

When I saw this palette in Trekpleister I was soooooo excited that I found it. I believe this palette has just been released in the Netherlands soo that was why I got really excited. I love the selection of matte and shimmery shades.I was really contemplating purchasing this pallet as I just bought the Catrice palette. But because I was not really impressed with that palette I decided to purchase this. I have not had the time to play with this palette so I can’t give you my opinion yet. I think you can expect a review in the near future.

L’Oreal Studio Matt & Messy shine free salt spray nonchalant messy look 150 ML. I have only used this pray twice and those two moments haven’t impressed yet. But I will test drive this spray a little further. I believe this spray cost around € 5,00 however I am not sure.

L’Oreal Studio Line Hot& Straight 200 ml. This product I have used several times whilst blow dry my hair. I don’t have the feeling this spray is doing anything for my hair or preventing fall outs. At the moment, the product is meh. However that feeling could still go away.

Beyonce Heat Rush Eau de toilette €17.99. I told you all about my birthday haul last week. So I was browsing through the drugstore and I hovered to the Perfume section. I tested this Eau de toilette and the whole day I kept on smelling this fragrance. I was really impressed with this smell by. Soo wickedly I decided to purchase this, in a tiny bottle of 15 ml Last friday. Ideal for my bag as my mum suggested.. I usually prefer eau de parfum but apparently the drugstore said it was not released. I purchased this fragrance for €17.99 at the drugstore Etos. I think this is a good budget alternative and it smells heavenly compared to my other wanna have perfume the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium 3.5 /4 more expensive. The ingredients in the perfume are the following:

Alcohol, Denat, Aqua,perfume,Hydroxcitronellal,Butylphenyl,Methylpropional, Hydroxysiohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene,BHT Linalool, Citronellol,Acrylates,Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters

Honestly you guys, I have no idea what these ingredients are, lol.

Super Drug Superfruits face mask. Exfoliating with Raspberry, Cranberry and Blueberry Fruit Extracts This mask is intended to purify the pores and smooths skin.

Andrelon dry shampoo in langer fris €5.49. So this one is targeted to re-freshen your hair. So let me tell you a secret. This product is so super amazing!! When you use this product your hair does feel really clean and the smell is like hmmmm. You just keep on smelling it during the day which I liked.
Andrelon Verassend Volume € 5.49 . This dry shampoo is targeted to create more volume. All I am saying is that I am not loving this product. The smell really disagrees with me. I am not really willing to use this product again plus I did not like the feel and look of this product.

Because I purchased two Andrelon products, I received a free Dove Goodie bag. In this bag there were 3 sample size products. The bag has a nice size too it, and I think this will be good for traveling You could even bring some eye and face brushes without damaging your brush without squashing your bristles.

So in this goodie bag there were three miniatures which are the following:

– Dove creme mousse body wash 55 ml

– Andrelon Glans Shampoo 50 ml

-Andrelon keratin hair mask 50 ml
