Thumb’s Christmas Nails ( Essie’s Really Red)

Thumb’s Christmas Nails ( Essie’s Really Red)

‘Tis the season to be jolly and of course my nails need to be matching as well. For my Christmas nails I opted for Essie’s Really Red nail polish. I received this polish as free gift of purchase and I am so happy with it.

When I have been wearing this polish, people have asked me if I had my nails done or which polish it was. It is so beautiful. I really cannot fault this polish!  I Love the color, the longevity and the minimal chipping. Just all Thumbs up for me!

What also could be fun is to do use some glitter polish on some of the nails to make it more festive. I would opt for a silver of gold polish in this case.

Please check out my other posts if you enjoyed reading this one .

Happy holidays guys and hope to see you back soon!

Until next post friends!

Thumbs nails of the month: Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer nr 117 Mauve To the Best

Thumbs nails of the month: Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer nr 117 Mauve To the Best

Hello everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Yes finally I am back with a new blog post. The reason for my absence was that I was very busy with moving house. Yep I am now a proud owner of an apartment and at last I can unwind a bit as the drama of arranging a mortgage and moving is now over.  But enough said about my private life and lets talk polish.

For this month I went for a lovely autumnal polish by the brand Catrice. It is beautiful mauve/taupe color and it look so cozy on the nails ( If that makes sense). Yes one notices I can explain things quite well (ermm).   I used 3 layers of polish, but 2 layers look already opaque. Afterward I finished with a gel top coat.

Thumbs up for

Color

Good brush

Price

Pigmentation

Thumbs down for

Hmm can I say none

I am really happy to be writing again and hope to see you back soon for my new post.

Until next post friend

Thumb’s nails of the month: W7 Wild Blue

Thumb’s nails of the month: W7 Wild Blue

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

I should have posted this post several days ago, but some exciting things are currently happening in my life. So therefor blogging has been put on a bit of a hold.  However today I really wanted to post! This months nail polish is from the brand W7 and is called Wild Blue.

W7 is an affordable brand and they often sell products that tries to mimic high end brands.  In my opinion this polish look like a polish from the brand OPI. The way the bottle is designed and even the lid is very OPI.

As you might see from the photo’s, the color is a metallic cool blue which is mesmerizing. However I struggled a bit with the application of the polish. The brush is teeny tiny and you really have to apply 3 layers of the polish to make the color opaque.

My over all thoughts are the following

Thumbs up for

Price just 2,95 euro’s

Color

Quick drying

Thumbs down for

Pigmentation

Small Brush

Smell. Very strong polish smell. Not sure how to describe it.

I am still pondering about if I like this polish or not. It is not bad for the price and if you don’t mind layering 3 times then you might like it.  Again the color makes a lot up for the negatives mentioned!

I hope you all  liked this post!  For my last post click here. Until next post friends!

Thumbs nails of the month : KiKo Power Pro Nail Lacquer in 82

Thumbs nails of the month : KiKo Power Pro Nail Lacquer in 82

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

After some radio silence I am back with some nail loving.  Must say that my nails were sort of sad looking and it was time to jazz them up. All though some might say they are still a bit dull looking.  But I LOVE them !

The color 82  is a taupe grey color with a slight lilac undertone to it. Which I find very stunning of course.  I used the Essie first base, for my base coat followed by two layers of the nail lacquer in 82. I finished with the KiKo Gel effect top coat, which is very BOM .COM! FYI!

Thumbs up for:

Color

Pigmentation

Brush Size

Price

Fast drying

Thumbs down for:

Design ( Brush is not attached to the lid . There is an extra lid to it. Why? Don’t ask me , still trying to figure this one out. )

Overall KiKo did very well with this polish. It is a beautiful color, has lovely  pigmentation to it  and  is easy to work  with. If all the polishes from KiKo are like this, then they have a winning product!

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

It is a new month and it is time for Thumbs nails of the month!  Today’s polish  Loot the Booty, is from the Summer  Antigua collection from Essie. It has been a long time since I have been sporting an  Essie nail polish and I could not be more excited to be wearing it.

The color is cool dark blue with specs of turquoise and purple. I just  can’t help, staring at my nails. I used 2 layers of the polish and started out with a base coat and finished with 2 coats of the Gel Setter topcoat from Essie.

Thumbs up for:

Thumbs nails of the week: A petite haul

Thumbs nails of the week: A petite haul

Hi everybody, dear readers  loyal subbies,

Because I was a little bored with the polishes I had in my collection I decided to pop into the Drugstore. I only picked up 3 polishes but I thought the colors I picked up are real pretty. Therefor the post name ‘A petite haul’

.

Essence the gel nail polish in 48 My Love Diary

This is such a beautiful rosey/ mauve color. Real pretty and this looks like a dupe for an Essie polish my sis has, but I do not remember the name. I am wearing this polish this week and to be honest it last quite a long time. It really had minimal chipping the first days. Overal not bad !

Essence the gel nail polish in 59 Life is Pink

This is really a bright Fuchsia color. I really hope this formula will be the same as the polish My Love Diary

Catrice Luxury Nudes collection in 11 Hidden & Forbidden Rose

I like my nudes and this is a pretty pinky salmony nude with some glitter to it and if you change the polish in the light you can see some purpley shine to it.

Thumbs nails of the month; Kiko nail laquer in 497

Thumbs nails of the month; Kiko nail laquer in 497

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

For this months Thumbs nails, I opted for one of the two polishes I bought in my Kiko haul. If you are interested in reading that one, click here.

Even though spring is here, I opted to go for the purple color. It is a purple polish with gold glitter specs in it. When I check my nails more furrow, the polish has a blue shade too it. Just gorgeous!

Overal I am so impressed with this polish. The polish glides on and is highly pigmented. If I wanted to, I could just use one layer but I wanted to use two. I finished with the Sally Hansen Gel top coat.  You all like this polish? Please leave a comment. Until next time

Kim
