Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

I have noticed that lately I have not been posting any monthly favorites. Therefore I thought it would be nice to share some items that I have been loving at the moment. The items I will be sharing with you, will range from skincare , beauty and some lifestyle items. I am very intrigued if you like this way of letting you all know what my current faves are.

Skincare

Glamglow Instamud 60 second pore refining treatment- This product feels so good on the skin once rinsed of. If you are curious about this product, please click here for the review !

Makeup

Benefit Boeieeng Hydrating concealer in NO2– Not only is the packaging very cute this is just a very hydrating concealer. It does not emphasize my lines under my eyes which is very important since I have passed my thirties. Also it gives a nice little doze of coverage for dark circles. Plus if needed you can still top it of with another concealer.

Maybeline Fit me Matt + Poreless powder in 120 Classic Ivory – This is a powder I reach to on a daily basis. Especially when I am very lazy and want to do a very quick face of makeup i will reach for this. I have heard people talking about this being a dupe for the Laura Mercier powder. However I am unable to confirm this ,as I have not yet had the privilege to try this one out.

Rimmel Kate contour kit in 001 golden sands -I might be one of the few people on the earth who likes this product. I must say I usually use the contour powder of this kit only. The color just suits my skintone very well and does it purpose.

Maybeline Color Drama Intense velvet lip Pencil in 630 Nude Perfection -This is just a very nice lip pencil to wear with or without lipstick or glosss on top of it. In my opinion this matches very well with MAC’s Velvet Teddy.

Perfume

Anayake Tomo Perfume Roller Ball -Ok I have no idea how to describe this scent but I find it smell very spa like and very relaxing. This is a perfume I really want to purchase and it might happen very shortly.

Lifestyle

Fake plants from IKEA, Xenos and Primark -Since I integrated some greenery in my house the house just looks happier and green looks so good on white backgrounds. Just so good.

IKEA 6 Malm chest with 6 drawers with glass plate – So for a while I was looking for a new furniture piece for the tv which was not open as my previous tv furniture. After long deliberation we decided on the this piece from IKEA which I find very good value of money. The cupboard has masses of storage and looks nice, clean and elegant especially with the glass plate on it. What I also love about this item is that it can be used for a lot of different purposes: I.E storage for makeup, clothes, TV furniture and as a dresser.

Bamboo Vase from Cassa -The house style I am trying to go for is like Asian/ natural with some industrial elements in it. So this vase ties into the Asian and natural element of it. Love, Love, Love it!

Peacock cloth hooks – These hooks give so much industrial, earthy vibes. It looks so elegant but has it its purpose. We usually store our working bags here.

Beauty and Skincare I am taking on my City Trip to Stockholm

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

For today’s post I am writing about all the goodies I am taking on my city trip to Stockholm ! I struggle sometimes when traveling with only hand luggage. As I feel very restricted and limited in what I can bring with me.

Therefore for this trip, I had to be a little bit more cut throat on selecting the items that I wanted to travel with, than that I would , when I can place my items in the hull of the plane. In these situations I would always try to opt for product which have dual purposes or which are a little less bulky.

For this blog post I entered some tips on where I like to obtain my travel goodies from Please see below:

Tip 1 : I like to collect my mini’s for traveling from the Christmas Calendars. At least it saves you some money on splurging on little shower creams and lotions and potions when traveling only with hand luggage.

Tip 2: Save your samples when you are shopping at your high end makeup / beauty stores. Sometimes you get some good ones! Plus you can always inquire if they can give you a little tub of your fave foundation as a sample.

Tip 3: De-pot your fave Shampoo, Lotion, Shower gel in travel bottles and use a Travelo for your favorite perfume. This might save you also some money at the end.

What I got for Christmas 2016

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

It is time for one of my favourite posts of the year. It is what I got for Christmas time! Personally I love reading or watching these posts as they always serve as great inspiration for gift giving. And maybe I am just being a bit nosey. If you are curious or nosey (like me) about this post, please continue reading this post.

I received the following gifts, for which I was and am very grateful for:

H&M gift card – Always very useful as I always need new clothes heheh

Money

BK Cooking Pot -I needed some pans and my mum thought I could use a tinier pan than the one I already owned

Oven Dishes – As I finally have an oven in my house, I can create lovely oven dishes. But because I did not own an oven I received this practical gift.

Guerlain Le Rouge Ecrin Jewel Lipstick Compact , in 06 Garance. This lipstick looks so luxurious and it feels really heavy in the hand. It is beautiful! Unfortunately I bashed the lipstick before taking a picture so it looks sadly a bit bashed on the top. Sorry sis. The color is a browny pink colour and has a bit of a similar finish like the lustre finish from MAC. I hope to write a Thumbs Review soon.

A lovely embroidered cushion. Matches the colour scheme that I have in my house. .

Bejeweled hair clip This is a lovely hairpiece. Very lady like. I think it looks very antique like.

Amazon gift card. Really love these so convenient. I just love browzing through the Amazon website as they nearly have everything on hand.

24 Days of Advent Calendar Fun (Day 10, 11 and 12)

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Due to being struck by a lovely cold, I have combined 3 days of Advent Calendar Fun. Today it is official and we are through half of the unboxing of the calendars. 12 More days till Christmas! After these last 12 days I must say that the Body Shop Calendar is winning for preference however there are some winners in the HEMA Calendar aswell. Anyhow enough talk and let’s get through our goodies.

Body Shop

Day 10

Strawberry Lipbutter -Hmmm I already love the strawberry Body Butter so this will go down a treat

Day 11

Vanila Chai Softening Body Lotion- Smells lovely, don’t smell the chai though. Plus would not have mind if the vanila would come through a bit more.

Day 12

Eye Definer in black- I have not used an eyeliner in a long time but this one does feel very creamy.

HEMA

Day 10

Gold Charm Bracelet- I really like the organic pattern of the charm bracelet

Day 11

Golden snow flake earrings-Totally cute to wear for Christmas Day.

Day 12

Silver Clover earrings-Hmmm am I starting to describe everything as clover earrings. But to me they look like clovers.

Thumbs April favorites and unfavorites

Hi Friends,

It is nearly the end of the month and it is time for sharing my faves and unfaves for the month of April. Compared to last month I am enjoying a lot of things. Unfortunately I had to add 2 un-favorites for this month but we will come to that towards the end of this post. Lets get started shall we?

Favorites

Big hoop earrings – I bought these earrings myself and I love them. They just give that lil bit extra to your look.

Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter- This highlighter makes my skin so glowy and gives my make up such a lovely finish. I do admit that sometimes I have used a little bit too much, but hey it is my face!

Rimmel 9-in 1 BB cream- When you feel like you don’t want to wear a lot of make up and you just want some coverage, this is the thing to use. Plus it has some spf to it so good for the protection against the sun.

Carmen HD2390 Hairdryer- Eventhough this hairdryer was not that expensive it has some power to it. It dries my hair really quickly and it has a nice diffuser with it. Eventhough I am still lacking the skills using this diffuser properly I love it.

Nike running shoes – Wow these shoes are so comfortable. They feel really light and it is like walking on air with these shoes. I just love the pink Nikce logo. Hmm might ask a second pair in black and white for my birhtday.

MAC Mehr – I love this color and it feels so comfortable in the lips and I get compliments when wearing this color which is always nice. It is not too much it is just right.

Restaurant Mandarijn – They just serve glorious food here. It is very affordable and the service is really nice. Last time for my mothers birthday I ordered the crab dish and it was delicious. Just hard to get in ggegeeg

Un-favorite

Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara – This mascara is trying to kill me by poking my eyeball out! I just find it very uncomfortable working with this mascara. .

Breaking up. After nearly five years my boyfriend and I decided to break up. Eventhough this hurts, currently it is the best thing to do for me. And as people say there are many fish in the sea. I will just keep on doing the things that make me happy!

Kiko haul

Hi everybody,dear readers and loyal subbies,

Today I am sharing my very first Kiko haul. Yeeh! I have never ventured into a Kiko store before , and last Wednesday after viewing a house and having a gorgeous Chinese dinner, my sister and myself did some damage in the Kiko store at Amsterdam Central station.

I heard a lot of good things about the brand Kiko and I really had a lot of fun browsing through the store and the products are just dirt cheap! Curious about all the goodies I bought? Check it out below. The face brush I got from mys sister.

Thumbs February Favorites

Hi everybody, dear reader and loyal subbies,

It is the end of the month, and therefore it is time for a favorites post. So let me share with you all what I have been enjoying for the month of February .

Beauty

MAC Velvet Teddy. Yes this has been my go to lippie for the month. It looks so pretty on the lips with a lot of make up looks and outfits.
Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara. Nice and lengthening Mascara and great improvement compared to the disastrous Etos mascara’s. This saved my eye lashes when I had no descent mascara in my draws.
Mac Face and Body Foundation. Just a nice foundation to wear when you feel like you need a little bit coverage but you don’t want something light weigth.

Body

Soap and Glory the Scrub of my Life. Such a nice scrub for the body and this foams up so nicely in the shower.
Soap and Glory Heal Genius. To be honest my feet have been looking like crap lately and this foot cream has hugely improved the status of my feet.
Sanicure oil intense. Just lovely moisturizing on the body and very clean smelling as to be expected from Sanicur.

Food

Vietnamese spring Rolls.

So tasty! Yet so healthy! The perfect combination. You can make so many tasty combinations, fish, vegetables probably even meat. I have not tried that yet. If you want to see a post on the rolls , leave a comment.

I have been hung up on Gossip girl and I just have to see the Voice UK every Saturday. My personal fave Kevin Simm and Rachel Ann. Will be rooting for them.

Thumbs 2015 unfavorites

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Welcome back to Thumelinaslifestyle! About 3 weeks ago, I published my Thumbs 2016 favorites. As we all know, life does not consist out of just favorite things so here are my unfaves for 2016. Products/things I would not even recommend to my worst enemies. So lets get started.

Make up

Soap and Glory Pucker up lipgloss. I have not written about this before but I don’t like the sensation of putting a vibrator to my lips. Very uncomfortable. I just don’t like the sensation on my lips.
Catrice Absolute Matte palete. Unpigmented shadows with quick fading effect.
Etos Mascara all in one and Etos Mascara in Mega Volume. These are really the worst mascara’s for 2015. Etos has a lot of nice products but these are not one of them. These mascara’s are very flaky.

Body

Nivea in shower moisturiser. Mentioned in my unfavorites before. Do I need to mention this again. Vile chemical smell.

Nails
