Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

I have noticed that lately I have not been posting any monthly favorites. Therefore I thought it would be nice to share some items that I have been loving at the moment. The items I will be sharing with you, will range from skincare , beauty and some lifestyle items. I am very intrigued if you like this way of letting you all know what my current faves are.

Skincare

Glamglow Instamud 60 second pore refining treatment- This product feels so good on the skin once rinsed of. If you are curious about this product, please click here for the review !

Makeup

Benefit Boeieeng Hydrating concealer in NO2– Not only is the packaging very cute this is just a very hydrating concealer. It does not emphasize my lines under my eyes which is very important since I have passed my thirties. Also it gives a nice little doze of coverage for dark circles. Plus if needed you can still top it of with another concealer.

Maybeline Fit me Matt + Poreless powder in 120 Classic Ivory – This is a powder I reach to on a daily basis. Especially when I am very lazy and want to do a very quick face of makeup i will reach for this. I have heard people talking about this being a dupe for the Laura Mercier powder. However I am unable to confirm this ,as I have not yet had the privilege to try this one out.

Rimmel Kate contour kit in 001 golden sands -I might be one of the few people on the earth who likes this product. I must say I usually use the contour powder of this kit only. The color just suits my skintone very well and does it purpose.

Maybeline Color Drama Intense velvet lip Pencil in 630 Nude Perfection -This is just a very nice lip pencil to wear with or without lipstick or glosss on top of it. In my opinion this matches very well with MAC’s Velvet Teddy.

Perfume

Anayake Tomo Perfume Roller Ball -Ok I have no idea how to describe this scent but I find it smell very spa like and very relaxing. This is a perfume I really want to purchase and it might happen very shortly.

Lifestyle

Fake plants from IKEA, Xenos and Primark -Since I integrated some greenery in my house the house just looks happier and green looks so good on white backgrounds. Just so good.

IKEA 6 Malm chest with 6 drawers with glass plate – So for a while I was looking for a new furniture piece for the tv which was not open as my previous tv furniture. After long deliberation we decided on the this piece from IKEA which I find very good value of money. The cupboard has masses of storage and looks nice, clean and elegant especially with the glass plate on it. What I also love about this item is that it can be used for a lot of different purposes: I.E storage for makeup, clothes, TV furniture and as a dresser.

Bamboo Vase from Cassa -The house style I am trying to go for is like Asian/ natural with some industrial elements in it. So this vase ties into the Asian and natural element of it. Love, Love, Love it!

Peacock cloth hooks – These hooks give so much industrial, earthy vibes. It looks so elegant but has it its purpose. We usually store our working bags here.

GlamGlow Instamud 60 second pore-refining treatment Mask review

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Today’s post is on one of my favorite topics. Skincare! The last couple of years I am focusing more on the overall health of my skin. As I have noticed how important it is taking care of your skin!

Even though my skin is not too bad, I do notice that the sun has kissed this delicate part of my body too often leaving some sun spots as proof. Also somehow I have noticed that my pores seem bigger in my thirties than my twenties. Which overall is not the most flattering look when applying makeup. Realizing this it has become a priority taking good care of my skin.

So once upon time wandering in the skincare aisle of Douglas, I noticed a product that I did not see before from GlamGLow . The yellow packaging just seduced me to take a look at this product. Upon reading the words on the packaging ” Pore Refining, 60 seconds, and even skin ! I knew this product had to come home with me.

The mask claims to give you refined pores, smooth, soft and even skin in 60 seconds. Amazing right! Application of the mask was very easy, you just have to apply a thick even layer on a clean face and let it sit for 60 seconds. In the meantime the mask foams up, giving you a slight tingly feeling. Afterwards you wash your face.

After the removal of the mask my face felt so soft and my complexion did look more even. I have not yet seen a massive reduction of pores but I will definitely keep on using this mask. The mask retails in the stores for 34,95 euro’s for 50 ml. Looking at the benefits provided I think I would repurchase this mask as my face feels fabulous after each use and the application is very easy and quick. Also this product is very convenient especially when you are short for time.

Stuff I just Need to Use Up ( Body and Skincare edition)

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

Don’t you sometimes have the feeling, that you keep on buying and receiving things, and things just land in the cupboard. Yep I am in that phase right now. Don’t get me wrong, I really feel grateful that I am in this position to buy and receive a lot of things, but I just don’t want things to end up in the bin! And yes sometimes I levitate to my faves that are in my eyesight and forget about some good stuff I have in my cupboards and drawers. So therefore it is my mission to start using things up. Starting with some body and skincare. Please read below about the selection of items I just need to use up.

Skincare

Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Sleeping Cream 5ml (Travel Size). A travel friendly night cream, this will be perfect for my Viena trip end March. Please keep your eyes open for that blog post!

Vitamin E Moisture Cream 15 ml ( Travel Size) A nice day cream. I have heard some nice feedback about this cream so this will be tested as well on the Viena trip stated above.

Body Shop Strawberry Lip Butter. Always good to have a little lip balm on hand sure this will come to use soon as it is going to be a true winter this week.

Body care

Body Shop Mango whipped lotion 60 ml. This smells lovely all though would be more inclined to use this one in the summer as it is quite fruity.

Body Shop Frosted Berries lotion 60 ml. This is a contender to come with me to Viena.

Body Shop Vanila Chai Body Lotion 60 ml. As previously stated above this is also a contender to come with me. As you might now I am a sucker for Vanilla fragrances.

Body Shop Body Butter in Strawberry 200 ml. An old favorite. Will put this one asap in my bathroom. So I can use this after showers.

Shower Gels

Sanicur 1000 ml Shower gel . One of my favorite as it is without perfume, does the job and overall makes me smell soapy clean.

Twilight 250 ml Shower gel. This is a discovery from late 2017 and I love it. As it was limited edition I do not want to use it up so quickly. But yes love this in combination with the sleepy time lotion.

Looking at my list of items above I think one of the first things that will be used up are the day and night cream and the Twilight Shower gel. But who knows. Maybe some of these items will become favorites.

Thumbs Review: Karados Aloe Vera Mask Pack

Today it is time for another review, and yep it is another sheet mask try out. Leave a comment if you like sheet masks!

I bought this Korean sheet mask in a drugstore in Bali, and did not have the opportunity to test out this mask. What did I think of this mask?

Thumbs up for

Price ( cannot remember the price but it was dirt cheap)

Smell ( Clean, Fresh Smell)

Refreshing cool feeling

Softness of skin after use

Thumbs down for

Slight sticky feeling when soaking in skin

Mask did not fit fully my face

Overall thoughts after use

This is such a great little mask for the price. I cannot remember the exact amount I paid but it was dirt cheap compared to some of my favorite sheet masks. Also the mask felt really cooling after application. So this would really be great when you are abroad in a warm country . Very important to me is that my skin felt very soft once mask removed. I am definitely picking up this mask from the drugstore when I am back in Bali. So yeah this mask I would def recommend!

Thumbs Review: Starskin Nourishing and Cooling Double Layer Foot Mask Socks

Hi everybody dear readers and loyal subbies,

For today I am back with a new review, and guess what is for one of my favorite beauty brands. Yes you guessed right, it is StarSkin! I love this brand for their face masks and I thought lets try something new. So in a last shopping spree I opted for the Starskin Nourishing and Cooling Double Layer Foot Mask Socks as my feet were and are in dire need of repair.

Starskin claims the following about these Foot Mask Socks

” Unique, patented foot mask intensely nourishes, soothes and revitalizes feet”
”Relieves swelling and cools down tired feet in just 20 minutes”
” Innovative Double-Layer Technology simulates the results of a professional foot spa”

Thumbs up for

Nourishing my feet, it got rid of a lot dryness I had on the sole of my feet.

Soothed my feet and took away some soreness that I had .

Thumbs down for

Did not experience the cooling effect the mask claimed. Would believe that chilling the mask in the fridge would help.

Overall thoughts:

This mask helps to reduce a lot of dryness and reduced the overall look of cracks on my feet. Also my feet felt soft and nourished after use.

Hi Everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

March has started and it is time for a very belated Thumbs February Favorites. This blog post contains some lifestyle and beauty faves. So I hope you will enjoy it !

Douglas Home Spa Balancing Shower Foam in Polynesian Dream.

This just smells very Spa like and smells so clean. It is very hard for me to describe this fragrance but it smells sooo good. So if you can get hold of this shower gel I would !

Essie For the Twill of It

This is just such an interesting polish. Sort of monochromatic. You can see different colors in it like blue’s,purple’s, greens and grey’s. It is just gorgeous and this polish wears very well.

Cauliflower Rice

Side tracking a bit here but please bear with me. This is such a great alternative to rice if you don’t want any carbs for your dinner. For example the cauliflower rice matches very well with a green vegetable curry.

Mac Face and Body Foundation in NC25

It is a nice light foundation that evens out the skin tone for a natural look . I have often gravitated to this foundation if I felt like wearing foundation.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar pallet

Fave colours : White Chocolate, Marzipan Strawberry Bon Bon and Creme Brulee

MAC Strobe Cream

Just gives back a lot of luminosity to the skin. Your skin looks fresh,dewy and healthy and overall my makeup looks better. But that is my just my opinion.

Booked Bali Trip

I cannot remember if I wrote about this before, but in 2 months time I am flying to Bali for a 16 day trip. Whoop whoop! I have never been so far away from home, but I am looking so forward to it. At the moment I have the time and freedom to travel and I am taking full advantage of that. My plan is to write some posts from Bali if I am disciplined and if the Wifi agrees. So hopefully this happens.

After mostly writing about opening my calendars, I thought it would be fun to write about a recent haul of late.

Last Tuesday the Douglas had a special evening where they offered their card holders an extra 25% discount. My sister and myself thought we would self-sacrifice our bank accounts and check it out.

I am really curious about GlamGlow as I have heard a lot of good things about this brand. Cannot wait to try this.I smelled the mask and it seems to smell very fresh. The good thing about GlamGlow is that you can use it multiple times so it seems a bit more budget friendly.

Of course I could not resist buying my fave sheet mask from StarSkin the Hydrating Bio Cellulose Second Skin Face Mask. With this colder weather my skin can use some extra juice and this is perfect for it.

My free gift of purchase was the Douglas Home Spa Polynesian Dream Balancing Shower Foam which has Kukui Oil & Noni Fruit in it. Very exited to use this as I love foam shower gels. I wonder if this will win over the Rituals foam gells.

Thumbs review :Earth Kiss Miracle Clay Facial Hydrate Bamboo Sheet Mask

Hi everybody, dear readers and loyal subbies,

It is facial sheet time! And As I received one in the goodiebag from Ladies Night, I thought I would give the Earth Kiss Miracle Clay Facial Hydrate Bamboo sheet Mask a try.

Before testing this mask, I just returned from the gym, so I popped in the shower to clean my face and bod.

When I opened the package I immediately had issues with the smell. The tangerine smell is just overwhelming and personally I just don’t like the smell of tangerines. In that way I am just like a cat and my nose cringes when I smell that fragrance.

When I placed the mask on my face it feels nice and refreshing, but OMG when I see myself in the mirror I look like the freaking Man in the Iron mask, only worse! Because it was that shocking I decided not to scare you all with a photo wearing the mask.
